About these sizers

Most ring orders come down to one question, and most people answer it with a guess.

The set arrives as a gauge — every size from 4 to 15 in order on a cable, the same thing a jeweller reaches for. Open the clasp, take off the one you want to try, and put the rest aside. Nothing to print, nothing to cut, nothing that stretches while you measure.

Made here in our shop and held to within a tenth of a millimetre — about an eighth of a ring size. That is finer than anyone can feel, which is the point. When a sizer fits, the ring fits.

These are not bought in. They are our own design, manufactured here, and they have gone out through Bentwood Ring Supplies to ring makers around the world — past 100,000 individual units shipped, sized on more hands than we could count. Proven in the field rather than in a catalogue, and we stand behind every one.

This is the whole set — every whole and half size from 4 to 15 — in the width you actually intend to wear. Not a paper strip. Not a printout that shifts while you cut it. Real bands, so what you feel on your finger is what turns up in the post.

Wear the one that fits for a full day before you decide. Knuckles swell in heat and shrink in cold, and a size that slides on at noon can be a fight at midnight. A sizer tells you that. A chart never will.

Size in the width you are buying. Our bands come in 4mm, 6mm and 8mm, and the same size number is a different ring at each — a wider band covers more of the finger, and the fit and the feel change with it. That is why we ship sizers in those same widths: what you feel here is as close to the finished ring as we can make it.

You do not need to buy this to order a ring. Choose the free sizer at checkout and a set comes with your order at no charge, with nothing to send back. This is for people who want to be certain before they spend — or who are buying for someone else and get exactly one shot at the surprise.

Free with a ring

You may not need this

Order a ring and choose the free sizer, and a set ships with it at no charge.

How to use them
  • Try them on at the end of the day, when your hands are at their largest.
  • The right one slides on with a little resistance and needs a gentle tug over the knuckle. If it falls off, go down. If it hurts, go up.
  • Wear it for a full day before you decide. Heat, cold and salt all move your fingers.
  • Size in the width you intend to buy — a 8mm band at size 9 is a tighter ring than a 4mm at size 9.

Free sizing with any ring

Ordering a ring? You do not need to buy a sizer at all.

Choose Send me a free sizer on the ring, tell us whether the hand is small, medium or large, and we post that whole set free — with nothing to send back. Your two to three week build starts from the day you tell us which one fits.

If your finished ring still doesn’t fit properly after using our ring sizers, we’ll remake it for free.

Shipping

Free shipping within the US, no minimum.

Sizers are yours to keep — there is nothing to package up and send back.

Questions before you buy are welcome. We would far rather answer one now than remake a ring later.
