About these sizers
You have a number in mind. This is how you check it.
These come as separate rings, not a fan of bands on a loop. Each one goes on your finger the way the real one will, which is the whole point — a band you can only hold against your knuckle gives you a number, and a band you can wear all day gives you the truth.
Made here in our shop and held to within a tenth of a millimetre — about an eighth of a ring size. That is finer than anyone can feel, which is the point. When a sizer fits, the ring fits.
These are not bought in. They are our own design, manufactured here, and they have gone out through Bentwood Ring Supplies to ring makers around the world — past 100,000 individual units shipped, sized on more hands than we could count. Proven in the field rather than in a catalogue, and we stand behind every one.
Tell us the range you think you land in and we send five sizers across it, half a size apart. Guess a 9 and you get 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 and 10 — enough either side to catch a guess that was close but not right.
Wear the one that fits for a day before you commit. Fingers are not the same size in the morning as they are at night, and the difference is often exactly half a size — which is the whole reason this exists.
Size in the width you are buying. Our bands come in 4mm, 6mm and 8mm, and the same size number is a different ring at each — a wider band covers more of the finger, and the fit and the feel change with it. That is why we ship sizers in those same widths: what you feel here is as close to the finished ring as we can make it.
No idea at all? Take the full set instead. Guessing the wrong range is the one way this goes wrong, and a set that misses your finger by three sizes has told you nothing.

How to use them
- Try them on at the end of the day, when your hands are at their largest.
- The right one slides on with a little resistance and needs a gentle tug over the knuckle. If it falls off, go down. If it hurts, go up.
- Wear it for a full day before you decide. Heat, cold and salt all move your fingers.
- Size in the width you intend to buy — a 8mm band at size 9 is a tighter ring than a 4mm at size 9.

Choose Send me a free sizer on the ring, tell us whether the hand is small, medium or large, and we post that whole set free — with nothing to send back. Your two to three week build starts from the day you tell us which one fits.
If your finished ring still doesn’t fit properly after using our ring sizers, we’ll remake it for free.

Questions before you buy are welcome. We would far rather answer one now than remake a ring later.
How wide is 8mm?
The same ring in all three widths, so the number means something before you choose.
- 8mm is our most popular width and the one most people picture when they think of a wider band.
- 6mm sits between the two — noticeable, but easy to forget you are wearing.
- 4mm is the slimmest we make, and the usual choice for a narrower hand or a quieter ring.
- Fit changes with width, so size with the same width you are buying.
Not sure of the size?
Four ways to get close enough for our sizers to do the rest.
- Measure a ring that already fits that finger. Any jeweler will read it in a minute, or measure straight across the inside in millimeters.
- Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure that length in millimeters.
- Most jewelers will size you for free, no appointment needed.
- Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are at their smallest in the morning and in the cold.
